Washukanni
Background
Washukanni also known as Waššukanni was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Mitanni from between 1500 BE till around 1300 BC when it is believed to have been possibly destroyed in the Bronze Age Collapse. No one currently knows where the city exactly was but it is believed to be near Tell Halaf in Syria.
Little is known about the city other than it was sacked by the Hittites under king Suppiluliuma I (1344-1322 BC) and there was a treaty discovered that installed a vassal ruler Shattiwaza as king. The city was later sacked by the Assyrians under king Adad Nirari I in 1290 BC.
Little is known about Washukanni after this period.
