Ashur-nadin-shumi (d.694 BC) was the son of the Assyrian king Sennacherib, and an ancient King of Babylon.History[edit]As crown prince of Assyria, Ashur-nadin-shumi was installed by his father as King of Babylon about 699 BC. In 694 BC when Sennacherib attacked southern Elam in pursuit of Chaldaean rebels, the Elamites attacked Babylon.
